Asador

BASQUE RESTAURANT
SINGAPORE

The vision for Asador, spanning 220 square meters, was to encapsulate the essence of a northern Spanish family home while embracing a distinctly contemporary, relaxed, and elegant aesthetic. Rather than concealing the kitchen, the design team aimed to highlight their culinary craft, allowing the  diners to witness the preparation of their dishes on a custom-built grill and in an oven imported from Spain.

To facilitate this, large openings were created between the kitchen and the main dining area, offering diners a view of the kitchen from all corners of the restaurant. Throughout the interior the finishes palette remains natural, blending warm timbers with natural stone and textured plaster walls.

Accents of deep blue and rich maroon, along with handwoven leather and rope elements in the furniture, introduce warmth and a sense of home, enhancing the atmosphere without overshadowing the main focus: authentic Basque cuisine.
