Yen Social

YAKINIKU RESTAURANT
SINGAPORE

Yen Social, founded by a Singaporean entrepreneur and helmed by a renowned Taiwanese yakiniku chef, is a harmonious blend of Asian culinary artistry and design culture.

Spanning 180 square meters, the restaurant’s interior draws inspiration from the traditional yakiniku craft, incorporating elements that pay homage to the art of grilling. The metal mesh, a quintessential grilling tool, is woven into the design at various scales, while the rough, matte texture of the tiles evokes the essence of charcoal. Charcoal itself is a recurring motif, with pieces stacked inside metal screens, celebrating the beauty of binchotan. Handcrafted textured plaster on the walls resembles the swirling cracks of blazing charcoal, further enhancing the immersive dining experience.

Yen Social, with seating for 66 guests, offers not only exceptional cuisine but an environment where every design detail contributes to the story of the grill.
